Our Story

Furniture Mart opened in 1982 by Robert Becker, and 21 years later, his son, Josh Becker, took over the family-owned business.

Furniture Mart has always offered a wide variety of products with unique and unusual pieces. We offer a small-town feel with a large-city atmosphere and furniture selection. When shopping at our store, you become a part of our family. We love being able to keep local dollars within our communities.

In 2010, we decided to branch out with a new location in Sterling. A year later, in 2011, we expanded our Fort Morgan store to give our customers a better selection. By adding a 5,000 square foot showroom, we were able to grow our inventory as well.

Furniture Mart prides itself on giving back to our communities. Several members of our staff serve on local boards, including the local Hospital Board and Young Professionals Group, contributing to keeping Fort Morgan and Sterling the best they can be.

Each year, Furniture Mart sponsors several local events, such as Bobstock. During Christmas Capital on the Plains, we provide horse-drawn carriage rides through downtown. We also support our local schools and are proud to give back to the communities we serve.
